This tutorial explains how to use Registry Editor to modify or change port 3389 through Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) port number on your Windows 2003 / XP / Vista, Windows 7. 1. In the Edit menu, click Edit, then click on the Edit DWORD decimal value that will show the correct port number. OK Button 'Enter the new port number, then hit ok.

2. move out of Registry Editor and close your pc with restart option.

3. Make sure the firewall is the new port opened!

4. If you do not set the activated access to this new specific port, you can not access via remote computer.
